How long should I wait before Google de-indexes my pages?
For your pages to disappear from Google's index, its robot (GoogleBot) must visit the page(s) you have de-indexed.
The frequency of GoogleBot's visits and the number of pages it visits each time vary for each website.
On the most popular sites, GoogleBot may visit several times a day, while on less known sites, it may only visit once a month (or less).
Therefore, it is not possible to tell you exactly when your pages will be de-indexed by Google.
If you want to speed things up, you can use the "Search Console" and ask Google to temporarily hide your URLs.
Note: You must have previously configured the Search Console and your site.
For this:
- go to Search Console: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools
- Click on "Google Index" then "Remove URL"
- Click on "Temporarily hide"
- And specify the URL you want to remove from its index.
Google will then remove your URL from its index, and, as you have added the "no index" tag with my module, it will not re-index it when it discovers it again.
