Spam bots are polluting my stats and slowing down my site, how can I block them?

By default, the module already includes a list of bots that are automatically blocked.

However, new bots are created regularly and can harm your traffic statistics and slow down your shop.

You can identify these bots by going to the module configuration under the "Robots" tab.

At the bottom of this page, you will find a "User agents list" menu.

Click on it to display the user agent lists.

On the right, you will find a visit counter for the last 6 months.

You should look at the user agents that generate the most visits.

If this user agent is legitimate, do nothing.

If you think it is a bot, the bot name should appear in the user agent.

Copy it and add it to the list of bots to exclude.

For example, for this user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; AhrefsBot/7.0; +http://ahrefs.com/robot/)

The bot name is: AhrefsBot
